A person never knows what a normal day will bring on the Homestead. It could be a quiet day of gardening, pulling weeds, harvesting raspberries. It might even be revenue producing with sales of jewelry or photography from the website. But every once in a while something unusual happens like – oh, I don’t know – a Flaming Norse Sword shows up on the front lawn.
So son-of-snowball has a hobby. He goes to Burning Man celebrations. These are… well, I don’t know that much about it. You just have to Google it. Any way he’s part of the Valhalla group and he makes these flaming works of art using propane that he displays to huge groups of people.
A couple of days ago he brings his latest creation over to show us. A huge flaming sword held by a gloved hand reaching out from within a rune covered box. So we took lots of video and pictures that I’m sharing here. Click on the pictures to see them bigger. In the video you can hear son-of-snowball describing the work and his project plans for next year.
