In The Mall Parking Lot

One of my favorite things to do while driving is trying to figure out the meaning of vanity plates. You know the ones I’m talking about – the owner pays extra to say something special on their license plate up to eight letters. But with only eight letters they have to really work at it to create any kind of meaning.

Reversed by design, upside down for reasons unknown.

But before there were vanity plates there were bumper stickers. With these we can have any kind of graphic or message that will fit on a space somewhere around ten by three inches. I’ve never gone in for bumper stickers because of a little thing called vehicle trade-in value but I do appreciate the entertainment others provide.

Earlier this week, I was at the mall finishing up the last of my Christmas shopping. While walking to the store I noticed this sticker and I just had to share it. It’s reversed on purpose and supposed to say ‘Student Driver’ in your rear-view mirror as the car is pulling up behind you. For some reason this guy must have gotten confused and put the sticker upside down. Maybe it should read ‘Student Sticker Applier’.
